How much does it cost to get the PMP certificate?

The PMBOK Guide, which is an acronym for "Project Management Body of Knowledge", is a book that defines the standard guidelines in project management, and sets the terminology and common language of project management.

It is a must-read for any project management professional. The knowledge contained in the book has evolved from the best practices of project management practitioners who have continuously contributed to this standard.

The PMBOK Guide is published by PMI, and the first edition of this book was printed in 1996. Since then, this guide has been re-published every four years. As of now, the current version is the 6th Edition, which was published in October, 2017.

What is the PMBOK Guide?

The PMP exam is composed of 200 multiple choice questions. Out of these 200 questions, 25 questions are pre-test. These marks do not affect your score. These pre-test questions will be placed randomly throughout the exam and you will not be able to differentiate them from other scoreable questions. Therefore, it is in your best interest to assume that all 200 questions are scoreable. These pre-test questions are used to test the validity of future examinations.

The time allotted is 4 hours. There is no scheduled break; however, this does not mean that you cannot take a break. You can take a break during the exam but the clock will continue to count down.

However, with the help of "PMP Training Solutions Training", you can surely complete the exam within 3 hours.

Process Group   Percentage of Exam    No. of Questions
Initiating 13% 26
Planning 24% 48
Executing 31% 60
Monitoring & Controlling 25% 50
Closing 7% 16
TOTAL 100% 200

How is the PMP exam structured?

PMI scores the performance on each domain with three levels: Below Target, Target, and Above Target

There is no clear answer to what combination of proficiency levels will lead to an overall pass result. However, PMP Training Solutions can give you guidelines which are based on a review of many test result reports.

Nobody knows the score required to pass the exam except PMI. Additionally, the passing score for every PMP aspirant is not the same; it depends on the questions they received during the exam. As a result, the passing percentage may vary slightly. Although there is no way to discover the passing percentage, we would advise you to aim for a score above 70%. We believe that with the help of "PMP Training Solutions Training" you can comfortably achieve Above Target.

How is the exam scored?

How many PMP certification holders exist in the industry?

There are 2 options. You either need 1500 hours of actual project management experience (That's roughly about 3 years' experience working on a real project) or

23 hours of project management training.

What are the requirements for obtaining a CAPM certification?

PMP Training Solutions is not a Registered Educational Provider. However non-REP's can definitely issue a certificate for the 35 contact hours required for the PMP exam. A big misconception of Project Management education is that only REP's can issue certificates for contact hours.

The only difference is that you have to upload your certificate on PMI website under category 1, if you receive certificate from a REP, otherwise under category 4 (continuing education).

Your priority should be finding a reliable institute with great material and trainers instead of worrying about REP vs non-REP institutes. Luckily, PMP Training Solutions has an excellent instructor at the helm who can adequately prepare you to become a project management professional.

Can I take certificate from Non-Registered Educational Provider (REP)?

PMI Members pay $225 for the test and non-members pay $300. So, it would be worth considering becoming a member of PMI and avail the first of several benefits that are available only to members. You can find out more by going to http://www.pmi.org/Membership/Membership-Benefits-of-Membership.aspx
